Producer and director at Maximal Studio, Cristiano Pleasures, along with dubber Glauco Brands, were interviewed by the television program ‘Olhar Digital’. They spoke about how videogames are dubbed for the Brazilian market.
Brazilian gamers demanded it and the industry gave in: over the past two years, dubbing games has become a standard for all official launches in the country. The dialogues and narratives in Portuguese allow Brazilian gamers to understand the stories better. They have become more and more complex and movie-like so there is no need for them to still be in English.
